Founded on a handshake in 1987
Arthur B. Collins started ABC Corporation with one truck, four carpenters and a promise: do what you say you’ll do.
That promise built our first homes in Riverside City’s eastern suburbs. Today ABC is one of the region’s largest privately owned construction and property groups, with 1,850 employees, four regional offices and more than 640 completed projects valued at over $4.2 billion.
We’re still family-owned, still headquartered in Riverside City, and still guided by the same promise — now applied to towers, hospitals, bridges and whole neighbourhoods.

ABC Corporation is founded
Arthur B. Collins opens a small residential building business in Riverside City.
First commercial tower
We complete the 18-storey Collins Building — our first major commercial project.
ABC Properties launches
New development, sales and leasing divisions turn ABC into an integrated property group.
Civil & infrastructure division
ABC expands into roads, bridges and utilities, opening offices in Northgate and Eastport.
Margaret Collins becomes CEO
The founder’s daughter takes the helm, launching our 2030 sustainability strategy.
Northgate Bridge opens
Our largest infrastructure project wins the National Infrastructure Award.
Carbon-neutral sites
All ABC site operations become certified carbon neutral; Harbour Tower completes.
Central Exchange tops out
